Chicago head coach Billy Donovan showed major respect to star veteran DeMar DeRozan last night after helping lead the Bulls to a huge 118-113 road win over the Milwaukee Bucks where he had 36 points, 4 rebounds, 8 assists, 1 steal, and 2 blocks.

“He’s an unbelievable player. He is so good. Obviously you guys see the shotmaking ability. To me, it’s just there’s a lot of things that go into it for me that are so impressive. One, it’s the internal competitiveness and drive to want to be great and want to win. The only thing that matters to him is winning. That’s all it’s about is winning. I think the second thing that’s at a really high level, that’s really impressive, is his detail. To which he works out, watches film, and studies the game. He puts the work in. That’s the other part of it.
“I think the third part is his IQ, his calmness, his pace, and his demeanor, in those moments. He really is a really special player on a lot of different levels. And then you couple that with the fact that he’s just an unbelievable human being and a great guy who is the same person every single day, who does whatever he can to help the group, the players, individual guys. He’s very, very unique in a special way just because he has so many incredible qualities that make him the level of player that he is.”
