Russell Westbrook appears to have accepted his new role of coming off the bench for the first time since his rookie year.
Becoming a leader of the second unit has helped the superstar increase his numbers. While teams were unwilling to do a trade with Lakers that would involve Westbrook, now the things have changed.
According to Chris Haynes of Bleacher Report, the Lakers are getting calls from other NBA teams that are asking about Russ’ availability. However, the talks have not been serious so far.
This season Westbrook, who turns 34 tomorrow, is averaging 16.1 points,5.6 rebounds and 6.3 assists in 29 minutes per game for Los Angeles.
