The New York Knicks have left the NBA’s most awkward team scepter to the Brooklyn Nets. A positive record finally for the Knicks. In fact, the Nets are proving to be the craziest franchise right now.
First the removal of Steve Nash, then the mess committed by Kyrie Irving. Everything is happening in Brooklyn and the Knicks can take advantage of it tonight.
The confusion that reigns in the Nets, however, must not distract the Knicks nor make Thibodeau’s team think that victory is already done.
“I’ll watch them from time to time, but I haven’t really gone into it. The next day I will go into them further”, Thibodeau said when asked about the Nets after the win on Monday. “I worry about the Knicks. This is more than enough for me”.
The team must follow the example and the thinking of its coach: that the Nets keep their problems, the Knicks must only think for themselves.
