Milwaukee Bucks experienced a great night against the Nets in Brooklyn, bouncing back from a tough defeat at the hands of the Raptors.

Giannis Antetokunmpo, who had a big game against Kevin Durant and co. on Friday night, talked about the tough part of making plays for his teammates when their primary playmaker is out.

Milwaukee faced Brooklyn without six players, including star playmaker and defender Jrue Holiday, who entered health and safety protocols on Thursday prior to the game in Brooklyn.

“I knew that I had to get my teammates involved, but at the same time I had to get myself involved in the game,” Giannis, who finished with nine assists, said.

“I was just trying to run the right play. Run some actions for Khris, actions for Rodney, actions for Bobby, just get them the ball as much as possible.

That’s what Jrue does, and now I kinda see how hard this job is because you gotta get us involved and be aggressive at the same time. That’s hard,” Giannis concluded.

While Giannis faced foul trouble in the first half of the game and played only 11 minutes, Bobby Portis, Rodney Hood and Khris Middleton carry the Bucks in the scoring department.

Portis had a double-double with 25 points and 12 rebounds, while Khris Middleton finished with 20 points. Giannis led the Bucks with 31 points, nine assists and seven rebounds.

“He always had that vision. I think he’s seeing a lot more, the game is slowing down a lot more. He’s always being a great playmaker and passer, but he sees so many bodies now, that he knows ‘if I make this move, somebody is coming to double or triple team me’” Middleton said on Giannis’ evolution as a passer.

Thanks to Giannis’ all-around game, the Bucks (26-15) are now 2-0 against Brooklyn (24-13) this season, being just 2.5 games behind from the East-leading Chicago Bulls (26-10).
