Berlin –

Swedish climate activist Greta Thunberg has called on fellow combatants in Berlin to continue to protest for climate protection. “We will never stop,” said the 16-year-old on Friday in her speech at a climate mission in Invalidenpark.

It gave her hope that so many people took to the streets for the climate. “I will never give up.” Thunberg came for the second time to a climate protest in Berlin. She spoke for several minutes to the students and environmental activists who loudly applauded her.

For months, students and students around the world have been demonstrating on Fridays to raise awareness of climate change. The movement goes back to a protest action Thunbergs.

Chancellor Angela Merkel said on Friday during her summer press conference in Berlin, Thunberg and the movement Fridays for Future had pushed the policy of the Federal Government. “They certainly drove us to accelerate,” said the CDU politician on Friday in Berlin. The students had made the politicians more determined to approach the matter. (AP)
