Three months after the rape and murder of a young German in Thailand, the perpetrator has been sentenced to death. According to the court, the 24-year-old garbage man raped the 27-year-old tourist from Hildesheim on Koh Sichang Island in early April and then killed her with a stone to prevent her from displaying it. He pleaded guilty to all allegations.

According to Wednesday’s verdict, the perpetrator was under the influence of drugs. He was arrested in his apartment a few hours after the crime, wearing bloodstained clothes.
